Project Overview
The Wanderer is the long-form build file for the bow-top wagon project.
The goal is straightforward even if the execution occasionally behaves like a conspiracy: build a durable, highway-capable wagon with practical weight control, weather resistance, useful interior space, and enough structural margin to survive real travel.
Design Priorities
- Keep the structure durable without letting weight spiral out of control.
- Preserve a clear load path from the body into the trailer.
- Make weatherproofing repairable rather than mysterious.
- Document why each major design decision was made.
- Keep the build useful for at least a decade.
Current Phase
The project is currently focused on structural refinement, wall and roof planning, and documenting the decisions that affect long-term durability.
A useful build log should preserve the reasoning behind a change, not merely announce that the change happened.
